The Dustin #2 Apple-1 computer

I went to the Bank and opened my safebox  and removed the Dustin #2 Apple-1 computer to get photos for you. These are not professional photos - I took them with my cell phone while in the bank viewing room.  Thank You , David.

This computer is better then the Schoolsky computer - This computer has all original parts and IC's as purchased from Byte Shop in 1976 by Adam Dustin.  One IC socket was changed by Dustin years ago. The Schoolsky computer had no IC's only unloaded sockets when I purchased it from Adam Schoolsky. Win Heagy and I spent about a year locating ICS of the correct dated code but a few were a bit newer then 1976 and that is showing in the evaluation of the Schoolsky computer by Corey Cohen.

The items below go with the Dustin #2 Apple-1 computer.

Better resolution here at Google Photos. When I copied the photos from Google photos to put in this document I noticed the resolution was not as good as the original Google photo. The link allows you to look directly at the Google photo. Click on the photo when you have the Google  photo and you will see that you can expand the photo and get  a good look at the computer.

Some of the Apple-1 computers had serial number of some sort on the back and the origin of these numbers has not been verified.  Byte Shop stores are most likely place that put them on the computer. Dustin told me he purchased both of the computers at a Byte Shop. Dustin was the first owner and I am the second owner.

Copy of Drawing made by  Ron Wayne  with his original signature. Ron was one of the three original owners of Apple - He had 10% , Steve Jobs had 45%, and Steve Wozniak had 45%. Wayne sold his interest back to the two Steves after about 10 days for $800 on April 1, 1976. I aquired this from Bob Luther who had contact with Ron Wayne about 5 years ago.

When I purchase the two computer from Dustin he wanted cash or money orders in small amounts - I saved all the copies and they go with this computer.

Receipts from the purchase of the Dustin computers. Copy of cashers check for $13,000, Post Office receipt for 2 $700 postal money orders, 2 copies of Postal money orders $200 and $450.

I kept a log book of all my calls from people offering me vintage computers. I had 1000's of calls over the 40 + years and have several log books full of  info. It was interesting because sometimes I would go to old call and contact the owner again. I did this with MITS 8800 serial number 21.  It was 5 years after the first call that I called again this time the owner was ready to sell.

In term of the Dustin computers I got the first call December 6,1994. The call was so casual that I thought that Dustin was just telling me a story that he had 2 Apple-1 computers.  Said at the time he may donate one for a tax deduction but he did not want to do anything now.

He called back in 1996 and said he may be ready to sell but had moved and he could only find one of the computers. In August 1996 he called again ready to sell both computers but wanted cash or small certified checks. The bottom log book shows my recording of the check serial numbers as I sent them to him.

You will get the copies I have of these checks shown in photos above.
